MISFITZ CLUBHOUSE is now on WEBTOON!
As of today, the first THREE mini-episodes of MISFITZ CLUBHOUSE are launching on WEBTOON. We’re sure you probably have some questions, so we’re here to answer them! CHECK OUT MISFITZ CLUBHOUSE ON WEBTOON HERE!
WHAT IS WEBTOON?
WEBTOON (www.webtoons.com) is the largest digital comic platform in the world, and it’s FREE. What makes it unique is that is uses what’s called the ‘infinite scroll’ format. This means you’ll read stories vertically, just like you do any news article on your smart phone (it can be read on your computer as well).
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE MISFITZ CLUBHOUSE?
We believe in the premise and characters in Misfitz Clubhouse. It’s like Saturday morning cartoons in comic form. We think MEEKY FERRY SLOTHIE and STIG are enjoyable characters that we can all relate to. That being said, we know that the vast majority of readers currently don’t have good access to their adventures. Delivering their stories in mini-sodes, which is the forte’ of Webtoon, seemed like a perfect fit to give more people a chance to enjoy their shenanigans!
WHAT IS A MINI EPISODE?
Episode, Mini-Episode, Mini-sode, you’ll see us use these terms interchangeably. Misfitz Clubhouse is already designed as short stories, but in the WEBTOON format, those stories get split even further, so ONE story (for instance DRESS UP MESS UP) might become three episodes on Webtoon.
HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY IF WEBTOON IS FREE?
‘Exposure’ is like a four-letter word in content creation. Yes, exposure doesn’t pay the bills, but if people don’t know your title exists, there’s no way for them to be able to consider supporting it. We are hoping that through this extra exposure, people will consider buying physical products from our store (VISIT OUR STORE HERE), and/or supporting us on PATREON. Because WEBTOON is tied into PATREON we have started an account there. You can support our endeavors there and get many behind the scenes and exclusive perks, for ALL our titles!
Most importantly, we want MORE PEOPLE to be able to ENJOY the characters and stories that we’ve written, and that RAHIL MOHSIN has so masterfully brought to life with his art!
SO WHAT ARE WE ASKING YOU TO DO?
First and foremost, we want you to go to the WEBTOON site, and READ Misfitz Clubhouse. Once you set yourself up a FREE account, you can ‘SUBSCRIBE’ to Misfitz Clubhouse, and also you can comment on the stories. Each episode gets its own comment section. The more likes, the more comments, the better! We’d also love you to spread the word in your social media circles!
DOES THIS MEAN YOU ARE NOW A ‘WEBTOON’ ORIGINAL CREATOR? Will there still be PRINT ISSUES?
Webtoon has two sections: Webtoon Originals, and Webtoon Canvas. Originals are those SIGNED to Webtoons directly. CANVAS is for independent creators, like us. So NO, we are NOT webtoon original creators, we are Webtoon CANVAS creators.
And YES we’ll still have print and traditional PDF releases, this is simply another way to get these stories into more people’s hands!
HOW OFTEN WILL YOU UPDATE MISFITZ CLUBHOUSE?
Webtoon is designed to be short, quick stories, with a frequent release schedule. We currently have MISFITZ CLUBHOUSE set to release new mini-sodes WEEKLY (currently slated for weekly, every Tuesday night). There will be pauses from time to time, and larger gaps between ‘seasons’, but from now through the end of November 2024 there will be WEEKLY releases!
WILL YOU RELEASE OTHER TITLES ON WEBTOON CANVAS?
Anything is possible. We are starting with MISFITZ CLUBHOUSE, but would love to see some of our other titles have new life breathed into them on the site as well. But first things first, let’s build up MISFITZ and go from there!
