Been busy in the #TeamINSYM world, and we want to let you know about a couple LIVE APPEARANCES that were just announced, plus we’re back with ‘What Are We Consuming’ #2 talking about Emmy nods, and some odds and ends after that!

Bearded Browncoat has always been a huge supporter in what we do at INSYMMETRY CREATIONS, and this is one of our favorite store cover variants in a while! There will only be TEN hand numbered and signed versions available, so if you want one, don't hesitate! We’ll start selling them at NOON. We’ll also have, for the first time at a live appearance, the brand new TALES FROM NOCTURNIA, some anthologies, new swag, and more!

FRI-SUN 8.16-18.24: GEEK’D CON!
We’re super stoked to be making our third trek as guests to GEEK’D CON in Shreveport, LA this August 16th-18th! This is always as a part of the SCOUT COMICS contingent; this time alongside ANDREA MOLINARI, MITCHELL MARTINEZ, HECTOR RODRIGUEZ III, BRENTON LENGEL, and GREG KRIVAC. It’ll be the largest gathering of Scout creators in quite some time!
We’ll also have a little more info concerning #TeamINSYM and our involvement at the show soon! Stay tuned!
A MINI ‘What are we Consuming?’ #2 concerning the Emmys and some of the nominations
Our second installment of WAWC focuses on the Emmy nominations. We try and watch and many movies and shows as we can. This isn’t just from an entertainment standpoint; we look at the believability of the script, editing, cinematography, and overall presentation of the story arc. In doing this we can assess what we do as writers and hopefully apply the positive aspects (or steer clear of the negatives) to our own creations.
Today the EMMY list came out and there were some interesting tidbits (note and disclaimer - EVERY awards show is just a popularity contest / what spoke to that set of nominators, so we don’t put a TON of stock in it, but it’s still fun to discuss).
So here are some of our random thoughts:
FALLOUT and SHOGUN having a LOT of nominations: These are all well deserved. Couldn’t agree more. Walton Goggins plays a lunatic better than anyone.
Liza Colon-Sayas getting a supporting actress nomination for The Bear - she probably had the most believable and gripping performance of the year. Incredible actress.
WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS up for best comedy is legit, but why in the world are THE BEAR and RESERVATION DOGS in this category? They are both award worthy, but those seem miscast.
XMEN97 getting an animation nod gets the #Steph seal of approval!
SNL: Why is it in COMEDY series and VARIETY / REALITY series? Shouldn’t it be one or the other?
Whatever number of nominations WELCOME TO WREXHAM gets will always be not enough. One of the best docuseries ever.
ONE PIECE Live Action with ZERO nominations? I mean come on, cinematography alone this was one of the best of the year, and the WRITING led to one of the best season finale’s of the year. Absolute travesty they aren’t on the list anywhere.

Production on HEIRS OF ISILDUR: The Perilous Prospects: Book Four - The FINALE is ongoing. We are really REALLY stoked with how this is all fleshing out script and art wise!
