Three Reasons Why we're excited for I AM QIDO (and you should be too!)

Today is the first of three articles where we explore different aspects of the appeal our fictional far east story that's like Mortal Kombat and Soul Caliber meets Mad Max!

The campaign launch for I AM QIDO, our fictional Far-East Fantasy Horror Graphic novel, is right around the corner (Monday 08.28.23 at 11am EST). (Follow / bookmark and Back here). We're super stoked for this project and feel it just might be our best yet.

In today's article we give you THREE REASONS why we're excited and why we feel you should be too!

* THE REALM FOR I AM QIDO IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN ANY WE'VE DELVED INTO BEFORE. The Yamaran Empire, set in the fictional Far East, is an area and culture that we've never explored in any story before. Even though I AM QIDO is loosely tied together with one of our already established titles (the apocalyptic scifi / steampunk HEIRS OF ISILDUR), it stands as unique with its characters and settings, with QIDO himself being the only thread that binds those two worlds together.

* WE GET TO FOCUS MORE ON THE FANTASY/HORROR ASPECT MORE THAN EVER BEFORE

Both of us have been wanting to do more than dip our toes into that darker pool for quite some time, and now we get to jump right into the deep end. Writing more horror-based, apocalyptic storylines for I AM QIDO has been a satisfying, yet challenging exercise for us. The DARK KONQUESTORS and their symbiotic partners, the SOUL RIPPERS, are as sinister as they come. That's saying a lot when we already created the SINISTERIANS (in our medieval fantasy epic Tales From Nocturnia). Don't let that fool you, however, their threat is just one of many you'll encounter as the story unfolds.

* IT'S A GREAT STARTING POINT FOR POTENTIAL NEW READERS and EXPANDING POINT FOR RETURNERS

For those who may not be familiar with us and our other titles (the previously mentioned HEIRS OF ISILDUR and TALES FROM NOCTURNIA), or for those who want a one-shot story that's easily digestible, this is the perfect way to dip your the into our creative pool (to keep with the above analogy).

You don't NEED to have read ANY of our other material to fully enjoy I AM QIDO. Of course, our hope is that (if you haven't already done so) you'll want to immerse yourself into the rest of our extended universe once you've finished this book.

At the same time, for our loyal readers and supporters who've followed us over the last few years and faithfully read every story in this universe thus far, we believe you'll find great enjoyment in getting further insight into a character you've already been introduced to, and seeing that world expand (and ultimately be destroyed) around him...
