QIDO is a TWIN?! EXCLUSIVE CHARACTER info REVEALED!
Finally there's some CHARACTER news about our upcoming fictional Far-East fantasy horror one-shot I AM QIDO!
We’ve been talking about our upcoming graphic novel one-shot, I AM QIDO, for quite some time, but we’ve dropped very little information about it. That changes today. Even though the crowdfunding campaign is still a ways off (But we’d still love for you to bookmark it HERE), now is the time to start peeling back the curtain… just a little.
We’ll be periodically revealing the characters, the main plot teasers, and more through various means up until we launch the crowdfunding campaign later this year. We CAN tell you that paid subscribers to this SUBSTACK will get certain reveals early, PLUS other INCENTIVES, so if you want to be in the know before everyone else, that’s the way to do it! Before we get into the I AM QIDO first reveals, we want to refresh / re-introduce you to the character that’s the impetus for this whole project: QIDO. He was revealed in HEIRS OF ISILDUR: The Perilous Prospects BOOK ONE. Let’s take you back:
We learn very little about his past in HEIRS OF ISILDUR, but who he is and where he came from is something we’ve always intended to explore. Our original plan was that would be small additional content for THE PERILOUS PROSPECTS trade paperback, but as we dug deeper into the lore, it’s blossomed into a full-on epic all on its own.
Our FIRST CHARACTER REVEALS are the TWINS: KENJXI (pronounced KEN-jee) & QIDO (pronounced KEE-doh) ASKETOYO. That’s right, QIDO is actually the younger twin to Kenjxi, and in the YAMARAN EMPIRE, this is of great significance. How much so? We’ll save that reveal for another day!
This is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the reveals that we have in store, and we can’t wait to start cracking open the door little by little for on this title!
