PORTAL INTO THE PAST: Staring at the 'CROSSROADS' music video
As we count down to the release of our latest lyric video for SUPERNATURAL SABBATICAL, we look at the defacto title track of our first album!
Now that we are mere days from the release of SUPERNATURAL SABBATICAL on Friday the 13th, (September 13th, 2024), we want to take a portal into the past and look at the video for our defacto title track of THE CROSSROADS CONUNDRUM album: CROSSROADS.

Once again, the video was produced by Hulyan Minosso out of STUDIO PONTILHADO in Brazil. This was also the final video produced prior to Matt and Steph becoming #TeamINSYM.
CROSSROADS is told from the perspective of Mykal Isildur and is a deeper look into the challenges he internally faces in the HEIRS OF ISILDUR story. We all feel those times, when we get to a checkpoint (or crossroad) and have to make a decision that we KNOW is going to impact the rest our days.
This song also features some of my (Matt’s) favorite lyric passages, like:
Though oceans of knowledge flow freely like rivers
Their tributaries have all run dry
Like a ship navigating through waterless deserts
My struggles sometime feel so futile
Translated: Mykal’s quest for knowledge feel so close, but at the same time it feels like it resides just outside his grasp. He knows it’s there, but he is unsure of how to obtain it.
This song also features the talents of female vocalist CASSIE MORRIS (most known for her work with UNICORN DEATH and some cameos on THE DREAD CREW OF ODDWOOD releases). Cassie also appeared on the song MURKY WATERS that leads off the TCC album.
We do get asked regularly if this is STEPH doing the vocals on this song. While yes, Steph does appear periodically on our releases, this was (1) recorded before #TeamINSYM (2) while Steph does have her talents, she’ll stick to comic writing and content creating, and let Cassie be the upper echelon vocalist.
