INFINITYCON Gainesville is ON, another NEW show, SPOOKALA (quick) thoughts, Milton+ more!
Some QUICK thoughts before we head out the door for setup for INFINITY CON!
We say ‘it’s a whirlwind’ around here quite a bit, but these past couple weeks have been at the next level. We have a couple of very quick thoughts to share before the weekend is upon us!
HURRICANE MILTON THOUGHTS
First and foremost, #TeamINSYM is safe and sound after HURRICANE MILTON. We were in TAMPA for an event (Spookala - more on that below). Steph was able to get on her flight back to California just hours before they shut down the airports. Matt got stuck in evacuation traffic going from Tampa to Ocala, so a (normally) 90 minute drive took 4 hours.
We’ve been able to check in with everyone that we can, and it seems like everyone either came out unscathed, or has minor damage / power outages. One thing to keep in mind about just how fortunate we all were. Tropicana Field (which is only a handful of miles from the Florida State Fairgrounds where we were) had the roof shredded, and the Mid-Florida Ampitheatre (which is literally in the same parking lot as the venue for last weekend’s show) also suffered significant damage. So for anyone that was at the show to be none the worse for wear (as well as, as far as we know, the venue) is fairly fortunate.
INFINITY CON Gainesville is a GO for this weekend!
INFINITYCON Gainesville is a GO for this weekend. Luckily that area was fairly spared from Milton’s wrath, so the rescheduled show is able to go on as anticipated. There are quite a few other events in more impacted areas that did postpone, so if you find yourself without a convention to go to, head up to Gainesville for this event! #TeamINSYM will be set up at booth G2!
SPOOKALA VI WAS A RECORD SETTING EVENT!
There will be a LOT more to come from this once we get more pics from the show, but SPOOKALA VI was absolutely insane. We want to give a shoutout to all the attendees, celebs, staff, and volunteers for making it a truly unbelievable event. So what record was set? Over the course of three days, #TopHatMatt had *38* individuals on stage with me, *36* for the first time! (this is by far the most ever at a SPOOKALA event) The number of panels was staggering, but every single one was amazing - casts from THE BOYS, SCREAM MOVIES, SCREAM TV, TUCKER & DALE vs EVIL, SAW, HALLOWEEN / MICHAEL MYERS, as well as KEVIN DURAND, AARON MOTEN / FALLOUT, MARTY GRABSTEIN, BRYCE PAPPENBROOK, DANNY TREJO, ANDY BLACK, SHOTZI & BYRON SAXTON from WWE, and last but not least HOWIE MANDEL and the cast of GREMLINS. Every single panel was incredible!
We also have to shout out MARY ETHERIDGE who came to the show in her MURK / HEIRS OF ISILDUR cosplay. How cool is that?!

Spookala returns to Ocala with their ever popular POP-UP Events, on Sunday, December 15th! It’s right before the holidays, so come get some last minute shopping done! We’ll be set up at BOOTH #11!
