#TEAMINSYM FREE COMIC BOOK DAY COAST TO COAST 2024 WRAP-UP!
FREE COMIC BOOK DAY is an annual tradition where fans and newbies alike make a pilgrimage to their local comic book stores for free publications. You’d think just by the name itself that it wouldn’t be a day that creators and stores would circle on their calendars, but, oh contraire, the day is so much more than ‘the free stuff’.
For the fifth time, Insymmetry Creations did their #TeamINSYM FCBD Coast 2 Coast with Matt at Bearded Browncoat Comics & Games in Ocala, FL and Steph at Collectors Choice in Visalia, CA.
From MATT about the experience at BEARDED BROWNCOAT:
Slow and steady wins the race, but for FCBD the speed is always in high gear. Unlike Black Friday where there are literally hundreds of people outside the doors for the immediate crush of energy and then quick fizzle after 60-90 minutes, FCBD is a near constant flow of people for a good 5-6 hours. It’s always great seeing the number of brand new people who’ve never walked into the store before, who then get the itch because of the free goodies. The curiosity over the creator tables is never higher than on FCBD (which goes against conventional wisdom), so it makes the day fun for everyone. Customers get free comics, and the store and guests get new supporters that are just hearing about their titles and products for the first time.
From STEPH about the experience at COLLECTORS CHOICE:
Free Comic Book Day is always an incredible experience for me. The outpouring of support I get from Collector's Choice is always top-notch. They not only do an amazing job promoting my appearance, they treat me like a celebrity, which it turns creates a buzz with the local community. I'm always impressed with the outpouring of love I receive from Visalians, who never hesitate to stop by my table, chat with me, and purchase our products, solely based on the fact that I am local, and they want to show their support.
Collectively we want to shout out to every person that stopped at our tables (on either coast), and left with a brand new product of ours in their hands! We also give thanks to Bearded Browncoat and Collectors Choice for making us a mainstay of their FCBD offerings! We look forward to what next year will bring!

We thank each and every one of you that supported TALES FROM NOCTURNIA: THE COMPLETE LEGENDARY SAGA Revisited, and helped bring it to life! In saying this, we mean MORE than just those who backed our 164 pages of medieval madness. We ALSO mean each and every one of you, that tolerates the relentless promotion when these campaigns run. We know. We get it. It’s tough to see that coming through your feed all the time. Just know that crowdfunding is the single biggest part of our budgeting process for projects, and algorithms really suppress every attempt we have at our disposal to promote. Some of you might see a post once every blue moon. Some of you see EVERY post we make. Regardless, we thank you for engaging with those posts and understanding the reasoning behind it.
WE KNOW SOME YOU MISSED OUT
We had many of you, probably more than ANY other campaign, reach out to us and tell us that they wanted to support it, but couldn’t at that moment. If you fall into that boat, you’re in luck.
