#TeamINSYM’s collective heads are spinning right now as there is SO MUCH insanity happening in our corners of the world. We have a MASSIVE update today with a lot of I AM QIDO info including new METAL MUSIC, live appearance announcements, a SNEAK PEEK at our story ‘Lost Girl’ in CTHULHU Invades NEVERLAND, a ‘glitchy’ MISFITZ CLUBHOUSE update, and more. With all this ahead of us, there’s no time to waste… so let’s get down to it!
I AM QIDO THEME SONG: ‘SPIRAL INTO MADNESS’ UPDATE!
Our the past few weeks there has been MAJOR progress on I AM QIDO, especially when it comes to the I AM QIDO theme song ‘SPIRAL INTO MADNESS’.
As of this newsletter, lyrics for the track are DONE, as are the main recording sessions. We’re still waiting for tracks for one guest appearance, and there still might be some small tweaks in the tracking itself. Overall though, song completion is imminent.
SO WHAT KIND OF MUSIC IS IT? Ummmm…. METAL. *VERY* heavy metal. If you haven’t heard what we’ve previously released (or you need a refresher) you can go to our BANDCAMP here and listen (There are tracks relating to HEIRS OF ISILDUR and TALES FROM NOCTURNIA). This song falls right in line with our previous releases, but it also has some stylings and instrumentation that makes it angled towards the environment that I AM QIDO takes place in (fictional Far East).
Above you’ll also see a still image taken from the LYRIC VIDEO that’s also in production. This is moving along at a decent clip as well, now that the lyrics and main recording sessions are completed (so we have a solid template to be working from).
SO WHEN IS THE ‘I AM QIDO’ GRAPHIC NOVEL KICKSTARTER GOING TO LAUNCH?
We don’t have a date for it just yet, but we’re confident that AUGUST is gonna be a big month for I AM QIDO. The ART and COLORS are progressing nicely, and we have multiple individuals working on themed COVERS as we speak.
While you wait, make sure to bookmark and follow everything that’s below so you don’t miss any reveals or character profiles. We plan on a bunch more of these up through the launch!

Mid September is going to be REALLY BUSY around these parts with OCALA COMIC CON and the SPOOKALA Punk Rock Flea Market both taking place in Ocala, FL. We are super stoked to have a presence at both, with it being OCC’s 10th anniversary, and with SPOOKALA bringing another hybrid concert / vendor event to the area.
We hope to see you at one or both!
CTHULHU INVADES NEVERLAND ‘LOST GIRL’ SNEAK PEEK
Our next ANTHOLOGY appearance is right around the corner, with ‘Lost Girl’ in CTHULHU INVADES NEVERLAND (up above is a sample page from our story). This is the follow up to the RINGO AWARD NOMINATED Cthulhu Invades Wonderland. This time, CR FLORENCE knocked out the art, with SEAN BAGGS on colors. Ringo Award Nominated letterer JEROME GAGNON will be finalizing the pages with his craftsmanship. This campaign launches on 07.25.23 and it’s not one you want to miss. BOOKMARK IT HERE!

* We got the thumbnails back for our next short story for MISFITZ CLUBHOUSE, entitled Glitch in the Matrix. It’s great seeing our insane little scripts come to life, and this is one of the craziest yet (and that’s saying a lot!) This will be for a special SCOUT COMICS release later in the year. We’ll keep you updated on the progress!
* Lastly, a quick shoutout to the 4 TIME USL LEAGUE 2 (soccer) Southeastern Division Champs THE VILLAGES SC (#TeamINSYM’s Matt is their gameday announcer) as they travel to North Carolina for their round of 32 playoff matchup today vs the SC BANTAMS.
