CALIFORNIA Wrap Up + a new WEBISODE

We wrap up our incredible time in California, MORE shipping issues GAH, plus we talk about a very IMPORTANT Misfitz webisode!

Heyooooo! Matt & Steph here, what a wild week that just passed, let’s get you up to speed on the happenings during our CALIFORNIA SIGNING WEEKEND, plus a look at a very important MISFITZ CLUBHOUSE webisode!

CALIFORNIA SIGNING WEEKEND RECAP!

On behalf of BOTH Matt & Steph, we offer a big shout out to everyone who came out on Saturday and Sunday to DJ’S COLLECTIBLE SHOPPE in HANFORD and COLLECTORS CHOICE in Visalia, CA (as well as a big thank you to the stores as well)! It was also awesome to START our year getting a chance to hang out with future superstars CHESS & GWEN!

FAST FACT: This was the first time EVER that #TeamINSYM’s first live event of the year was NOT in Florida.

Prior to our signing weekend, Steph wanted to make sure that I (Matt) got to see the sites around her area, since it was my first time in Central California. Above are a couple of the pics from Three Rivers, on the outskirts of Sequoia National Park. Being a Florida boy, it was wild having there be mountains ALWAYS in view, and also the lack of humidity was just bizarre. Us Florida folks know that just thinking about going outside makes us sweat profusely. So it’s wild that it’s the complete opposite there… but I digress.

Back on topic - thanks again to everyone that came out to support, and thank to the shops for hosting us. Looking forward to the next time!

Also - one last quick tidbit - you all know that we’ve been having some heartburn with shipping (had a very important box get lost over the summer en route to Geek’D con). Well, that nearly happened again this time out, where one of our boxes that was shipped from Florida to Cali was delayed by 8 days for ????? no good reason. It seemed clear that it was not going to make it in time, so I had to stuff extra copies of books in my luggage and carry on.

All the way up to the morning of the 22nd tracking said it wasn’t going to be there until… today (the 25th), then all of a sudden it was out for delivery that day. We didn’t have it for DJs on the 22nd but we did bring in on the 23rd to Collectors Choice… and boy did we need it. Certain titles sold out from BOTH my luggage AND the original box. Funny how things work!

Webisode 4 of 6 in OLD MAN WILLOW is one of the darkest, most somber in MISFITZ CLUBHOUSE. The entire story is about the consequences of bullying, but this episode in particular also touches on those caught in the crossfire of a growing public furor. Like we said, not our typical faire for Misfitz, but important nonetheless. We hope you dig it. YOU CAN READ IT HERE
