A KRAMPUS Endorsed Comic?! A SPOOKALA wrap-up, a QIDO update and more!
Sooooo much to cover in a massive news update today!
What a week it’s been for Matt & Steph from #TeamINSYM: Travel, shows, last minute deliveries, it’s been wild. Without further ado let’s get down to business, wrapping up our time at the SPOOKALA event, giving details on the KRAMPUS Endorsed comic that we’re in, and updating you on where we’re at with I AM QIDO. Let’s go!
SPOOKALA III IS A WRAP!
Ocala Florida’s World Equestrian Center was the location for SPOOKALA’s third event, and it did not disappoint. Not only were we there debuting an anthology comic that we’re in (more on that later), plus unveiling a show exclusive trading card (more on that later too), #TeamInsym’s Matt (me) was also the emcee and panel host for the event.
SPOOKALA was highlighted by actors and actresses from hit movies like IT, M3GAN, HALLOWEEN 3, THE CONJURING, STRANGER THINGS, as well as RON PERLMAN, SETH GREEN, MICK FOLEY, RAINN WILSON, JACK OSBOURNE, JAKE BUSEY, RICHARD BRAKE, and more.
I’ve gotta say that the youngest in attendance were the highlight. JEREMY RAY TAYLOR, CHOSEN JACOBS, JACK DYLAN GRAZER, GABRIELLA PIZZOLO, AMIE DONALD, and SAMARA LEE all stole the show, hanging with the seasoned vets and doing so with class. We both wish the best for all of them as their careers unfold, and it was an honor to take the panel stage with them.
BONNIE AARONS (Valak in The Conjuring Universe) was also the ‘con mom’ to many. It was great seeing someone play a character so evil on screen be so protective over the up-and-comers.
Next up for SPOOKALA is their October event in TAMPA, FLORIDA that looks to be a complete BANGER with a lineup on par with some major conventions across the country.
A KRAMPUS ENDORSED COMIC?
The overseer of the nether regions himself was present at SPOOKALA and he was curious about our expose’ on his life and times in the other 11 non-December months of the year. While he was not thrilled that we captured so many not-so-fresh moments in his existence, he did fully endorse our story IT’S A LONELY LIFE BEING KRAMPUS as well as the entirety of HOLIDAY SPIRITS: CHRISTMAS IN JULY #2 SUMMER SPECIAL. We’re super stoked with the artwork by JOSE CARDENAS. Thanks to JEROME GAGNON at ORANGE CONE PRODUCTIONS for allowing us to take part in in this awesome project!

I AM QIDO: CHARACTER REVEAL UPDATE!
So far on our I AM QIDO INSTAGRAM PAGE (which you can follow here) we’ve unveiled FOUR characters for our upcoming fictional far-east Fantasy Horror story (YARI and JIN ASKETOYO and their twin sons KENJXI and QIDO). Those who were present at SPOOKALA also go to see the first glimpses at another group in our story, the DARK KONQUESTORS, on a show exclusive trading card.
Here’s what’s been revealed so far:
